Thumbthing
Abbfabb Grooming Scissors Ltd are honoured to now offer the incredible dog grooming scissor finger insert, the 'Thumbthing'.
Originally created by Colin Taylor, and now designed and produced by Katie Rourke Dowding of Centre Stage Dogs, these extremely flexible, jewelled-coloured silicone thumb scissor inserts are specifically designed to easily fit the thumb hole of the scissor and help prevent the thumb sliding through the thumb hole. This incredible dog grooming tool offers a dog groomer the ultimate precision and control over their dog grooming scissors.
The cushioned and rubberised texture of this offers a dog groomer extreme comfort and helps maintain the correct finger position and grip whilst holding a dog grooming scissor.
The correct finger position and grip is absolutely vital to the performance of the shears. It helps prevent the dog groomer's thumb from apply too much pressure to the thumb hole which in turns prevents the blades from catching and/or locking. It also helps to maintain the correct scissor tension for a longer period of time. Keeping the correct scissor tension allows the dog grooming scissor to work efficiently and to its full potential and prevents the scissor from becoming blunt too quickly.
